Interceptor and Sentinel Shortage
Novartis Animal Health is the manufacturer of our preferred heartworm preventative Interceptor and Sentinel. The FDA has forced them to cease production temporarily while the facility undergoes compliance and improvement activities. Dr. Jull is recommending Heartgard Heartworm protection while we wait for Interceptor and Sentinel to become available again. Other common products affected are Deramaxx, Clomicalm, and Program.
