Interceptor and Sentinel Shortage

Novartis Animal Health is the manufacturer of our preferred heartworm preventative Interceptor and Sentinel.  The FDA has forced them to cease production temporarily while the facility undergoes compliance and improvement activities.  While we do have a small amount left here at the hospital, Dr. Jull is researching a good replacement to keep your pets protected while we wait for Interceptor and Sentinel to become available again.  Other common products affected are Deramaxx, Clomicalm, and Program.  If you have any questions please contact our office at 828-890-1401.
